"Is This Julia Bulette?" I asked the sender
how he obtained it and this is the response I received
| "I collect early images of firemen. I have owned this image, a carte de visite, since the early 80's. It was taken by the Sutterley Bros., of Virginia City, probably in 1863. The fireman on the left, a member of Eagle No. 3, was named Edward Tulley. I thought the gentleman on the right might be Peasley, the ex-fire chief of V.C." |
