In 1984 the following plaque was presented to the people of Erin

Geno Oliver and Bob Rodgers made the presentation. The plaque is in Cork, Ireland.

 

To The People of Erin

This plaque is to honor the Erin ancestors
of the 1860's and 1870's who worked in the
great silver mines of Virginia City, Nevada.
These Irish miners helped forge an important
stone in the foundation of the young nation
called America. Thank You.
